ASN Development Office

The ASN Education and Development office is a department mandated by the ASN administration to plan, fundraise, implement, and coordinate development projects of the congregation. Through this office, two projects have been directly implemented in the past year. These are:

1.MAKUENI BOREHOLE REHABILITATION FOR IMPROVED LIVELIHOODS
This project was carried out in ASN Makueni farm. The project entailed equipping the farm borehole with a submersible pump and pipes, procurement of water tank, and construction of water kiosk for income generation of the farm. The project was meant to provide water for farming activities and for the local community. This project is anticipated to support the income of the congregation through the agribusiness sale of water.

2.MWEA PRIMARY SCHOOL CHILD EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME
Development office implemented a child empowerment programme in Mwea primary school in Thika. Most of the children come from the nearby coffee farms. The children project various developmental and behavioral crises that the project was addressing as well as complimenting their dietary needs through a feeding programme. The children were given inputs in various topics of interest to them which include; peer pressure, drugs abuse, sexual health, reproductive health, HIV and AIDS, child rights, etc the children were also provided with meals which they enjoyed and appreciated. This project complements the pastoral activities of ASN in the region and helps to restore hope and dignity to the children.
